This history trail includes seven signs which tell the story of Downtown Cuyahoga Falls as it relates to the Cuyahoga River and Falls, the city's namesake. Tours and themed events centered around the History Trail will soon be scheduled through the Downtown Cuyahoga Falls Partnership. An official ribbon cutting is slated for later this year. The federal government placed the area's management under the control of the National Park Service, which worked jointly with Cleveland Metroparks and Summit County Metroparks to preserve the site.
It is the most recently established national park, and the National Park Service continues to work with local agencies to protect and maintain the site.
